Little Black Dress

Out of all the flattering outfits for busty women, this is most likely the easiest and best known way to flatter your figure. A black dress can be a busty girl's best friend! The great thing about black is that it doesn't over accentuate your chest and it's usually easy to find many styles of dresses in basic black. Plus, it's a well known fact that black gives a slimming appearance as well, so it's a double win! If black isn't your thing, just remember that darker colors, no matter what hue, are generally more flattering on bustier women. Read on to learn what styles your dress or other clothing should come in to flatter your busty curves even more!

UPD:

When selecting a little black dress, aim for ones with a v-neck or scoop neck, as these necklines are ideal for highlighting your assets without going overboard. Avoid high necklines that might make your bust look even larger. Also, a dress with a fitted waist can help define your figure and balance out your proportions. For added elegance and arm coverage, a dress with a three-quarter sleeve can be both practical and chic. Emphasize your waist with a belt or a dress that cinches in the right place, just below the bust, to draw attention to the smallest part of your waist. Embrace the versatility of this wardrobe staple that can be effortlessly dressed up with accessories for an evening out or kept simple for a refined daytime look.

Neck Lines

If you're busty, the main thing to remember is that you want to try and make your chest more proportional with the rest of your body so it doesn't stick out as much. In order to achieve this, you need to pay attention to your neckline. Consider a V-neck or jewel neckline when picking an outfit. These necklines work best for busty women. Their shapes actually lengthen the neckline and slim your upper half, as opposed to high collars and crew necks that tend to draw attention upward. So in theory, the deeper the V-neck, the smaller your chest appears. Remember to layer a camisole underneath though, because in your case, the point of the V-neck isn’t to reveal cleavage, but to break the wide chest area into seemingly smaller sections!

Layer up!

Jackets, cardigans, and wrap tops are the perfect solutions for layering and flattering busty women! Wrapped tops do the same trick as V-neck and scoop neck tops do to flatter bustier girls. Wear your outer layer slightly shorter, with a longer tee underneath. If the underlayer is figure-hugging, you'll have shape and coverage without feeling too exposed! Layering up gives the appearance of a smaller bust and thus evens your proportions. Layering shorter jackets, sweaters, or wrap tops on top of longer shirts can also be quite feminine or girly because it puts the focus on your waist! If you don't want attention on your waist, stick to longer top layers.

UPD:

Layering is a great way to create a flattering look for busty women. It allows them to create the illusion of a smaller bust and even out their proportions. Layering shorter jackets, sweaters, wrap tops, or other outer layers over longer shirts gives the appearance of a smaller bust, while also creating a feminine and girly look that puts the focus on the waist. For those who don't want attention on their waist, longer top layers are the way to go.

V-neck and scoop neck tops are also flattering for bustier women, and can be worn with a longer tee underneath. The outer layer should be slightly shorter, while the underlayer should be figure-hugging to create shape and coverage without feeling exposed.

Accessories can also be used to draw attention away from the bust. Long necklaces, scarves, and earrings can be used to draw attention away from the bust and towards the face. Additionally, wearing fitted clothing on the bottom can help to balance out the top half of the body.

4

Empire Waist Outfits

Empire waist clothing is a type of dress or top where the waist line is raised above the natural waistline. The waist line in empire waist clothes usually starts right below the bust. This style shows off your bust while hiding other figure flaws. Empire waist dresses are universally flattering on busty women because they help blend all of your body's features. They're also great for women who also have a thick lower half as they help to hide it.

5

Belts, Belts, Belts

Sometimes clothes may fit everywhere else besides your bust, causing you to go up a size. When it comes to these over-sized pieces of clothing, cinch your waist with a belt for the best fit! This especially applies to women on the shorter side. The best place to add a belt is at the natural waist so the garment doesn't consume your figure. Doing this will really emphasize your curves! Plus belts are a great way to add a little color or style to an otherwise plain shirt or dress.

Say Good-bye to Buttons

There’s nothing worse than a button-up shirt that gaps at your bustline and bags around your stomach. If you can, avoid button up shirts, as they can be a busty girl's worst enemy. If you do want to wear a button up shirt, wear a stylish camisole underneath and only button the shirt below your bust. This way you won't have to worry about your shirt looking like it's going to burst at the top! Or, wear your button downs completely open over a dress to layer up and still get some flattering use out of your button down shirts!

7

Find a Tailor

Buying and wearing clothes straight off the rack will not often work for many body shapes, especially busty women. Like I mentioned earlier, if you are busty but not large all over, you may have to buy a larger overall size to accommodate the bust, but it will be too loose in the shoulders, sleeves and waist. So when all else fails, find a good tailor who can alter the shirt to fit your proportions. If you have the extra money, a tailor can help flatter your bust perfectly in any outfit. Another good thing to remember is that clothes that cost more, are usually going to look better on a busty woman. Cheap clothing involves cheap material and a cheap sewing process. The end results are outfits that will make you look frumpy or cling to your chest.

Now that you have all of these tips, you should be able to find a bunch of more flattering outfits for your beautiful busty figures! Remember to stay away from horizontal stripes or designs, as they will make your breasts look even larger. Also, avoid ruffles or designs on your chest area, as they will also enlarge your "ladies" and not in a flattering way! What outfits do you wear that seem to flatter your busty figure the most?
