5. Fair Trade Clothing is a Must Have

The fair trade scheme has not increased prices beyond a student’s pockets. The way the products are farmed and then created has left a lot of people exploited, and so you need to be sure that you are not feeding the beast by buying from fair trade sources. Go the extra distance and find out if your clothes are made in sweatshops.

Fair trade is about the entire clothing manufacture process, from cotton seed planted, to the people tasked with selling it to you. Many times, they are able to remove the workplace chemicals, which means that workers are not forced to work with dangerous substances. Find ethically friendly goods to be sure that the workers are also treated with respect and are not forced into compromising positions to keep their job.
