If you’re a newbie to Black Friday, picking which stores to go to can be super overwhelming. It’s hard to determine which stores have sales that are actually worth it and which ones you can skip. I’ve compiled a list of my favorite Black Friday stores, and which ones I think are so worth it if you’re looking to Black Friday shopping this year!

1. Old Navy
I’m not someone who goes all out on Black Friday. I don’t spend the night or camp out or go early in the morning. When I go Black Friday shopping, I go late in the morning or early in the afternoon and I’m always sure to check out Old Navy for sales. Last year, I got almost an entirely new wardrobe and got so many Christmas presents for my family for less than $100. Everything in the store was half off! If you’re looking for great deals on clothes, this is a great place to go!
2. Kohl’s
Kohl’s is already known for having great deals even on days that aren’t Black Friday, which makes Kohl’s a great store to check out on Black Friday. This year, on top of all of the sales on individual items and in different sections, there’s 15 percent off of your entire purchase. What could be better than that?
Frequently asked questions
3. Target
I don’t think that I’ve ever been to Target during the day on Black Friday, but a few years ago I went with my friends on the night of Thanksgiving. The line wrapped around every aisle of the entire store, which seems insane. However, that just means that the deals are worth it! If something that intense doesn’t sound great to you, check it out during the day—you’ll probably find a lot of the same deals and you’ll be much less stressed!
4. Macy’s
If you’re a fan of designer brands and high-end labels, check out Macy’s on Black Friday. The prices of these pieces at Macy’s are so low that you won’t believe your eyes. They have so many insane sales going on that Macy’s will always be on your Black Friday list from now on!
5. T.J. Maxx
I’m sort of a T.J. Maxx addict to begin with, so maybe it’s just my addict side showing off, but T.J. Maxx is always a must-hit for me on Black Friday. You probably know that T.J. Maxx is the store where everything is discounted on a regular day, so imagine the sales on Black Friday! You’ll walk away with so many steals that you won’t believe your eyes!

6. H&M
When it comes to pieces that look expensive but actually cost next to nothing, H&M is the place to look. There’s such a wide range of prices from simple basics to the (much more expensive) Balmain collaboration. No matter what you’re looking for, you’ll find it at H&M, and on Black Friday, you’ll find it for a price so great you won’t believe it!
7. Best Buy
I’m fairly certain that Best Buy is the quintessential place to go on Black Friday. It’s the store that everyone goes to, and it’s the store that everyone camps out at. Even though so many people go there on Black Friday, I’ve actually been there once on Black Friday and it wasn’t as insane as I expected. If you want a great deal on tech devices, Best Buy is more than worth it!
