The Best Tips for Being Ultra-Trendy This Memorial Day Weekend ...

Memorial Day weekend is one of my favorite holiday weekends of the year. It means that the weather is warming up, summer is about to start, but mostly, it means that people have started transitioning to their summer wardrobes. No matter what you’re doing this weekend, your Memorial Day fashion is sure to be perfect with these tips and tricks for your most fashionable holiday weekend yet!

1 Don’t Be Afraid to Go Nautical

Whether or not you’re going to be boating this weekend, there’s something about Memorial Day weekend that just inspires nautical trends across the country. If you are going boating, get into it with some white and blue, and maybe an anchor or two thrown in for good measure. Even if you’re not spending the weekend on the water, though, that doesn’t mean that you can’t be inspired on this fun holiday weekend!

Frequently asked questions

2 Bring out the White

Do you remember that old saying, “Don’t wear white before Memorial Day or after Labor Day?” Well, whether or not you adhere to that rule, it’s technically Memorial Day, which means that it’s time to break out the all-white outfit you’ve been waiting to wear all year. No matter what event you’re going to this weekend, an all-white outfit is the perfect chic look to bring out!

3 Pack Versatile Items

Memorial Day Weekend is a big weekend for travel, specifically weekend adventures away. If you’re going away this weekend, be versatile about it. Bring a cover-up that could double as a dress. Grab a weekender bag that could also work as your beach bag so you don’t have to bring multiple bags along with you. Try to pack a limited amount of makeup. It’s only a few days, and you’d be surprised just how much you could get rid of!

4 Go Girly with a Sundress

Although it’s not officially the first weekend of summer, a lot of people unofficially regard it as just that. Start summer in a fun and flirty way with a breezy sundress. You’re sure to get the attention of nearly anyone you meet in a simple and fun sundress!

5 Get Patriotic

Memorial Day is definitely a patriotic holiday, but you don’t necessarily see people carting out the red, white, and blue like they do when the Fourth of July rolls around. Be different! Wear that American flag tank top that you only wear on the Fourth of July this weekend! Why not show your patriotism on this holiday?

6 Cash in on Some Sales

If you’re not going anywhere this Memorial Day weekend, make the most of it at home! Rather than sit around all day watching the plethora of movie marathons on TV (I’ll admit, that sounds pretty appealing), head out to the malls for some of the biggest sales of the year! Why not get a jump on your summer wardrobe while everyone else is away for the weekend? It just means more sales for you!

7 Try Something New

If there is any time to start wearing a new trend or something you’ve never really worn before, Memorial Weekend is the time to do it. Why? Because summer is one of the best times of the year for trying out trends (there are very few weather restrictions holding you back) and Memorial Day weekend marks the beginning of summer. Play around with different trends now so you’ll know which trends you love and feel comfortable in early on in the summer!
