Trend Alert: Nordstroms Most Captivating Cut out Dresses ...

By Tracy

I thought I might find one or two cut out dresses at Nordstrom, the first store I looked at for inclusion. Imagine my surprise when I found so many great options. Celebrities such as Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, and Jessica Alba are fans of this style and love showing a little skin on the red carpet. Cut out dresses are sexy and fabulous and you should consider participating in this fun trend.

1. 'Renley' Lace Fit & Flare Dress

'Renley' Lace Fit & Flare Dress Here's one of the cutest little all-over lace cut out dresses you’ll find, and on top of that, it’s an LBD. The dress is lined where it needs to be, and the top, bottom and back are unlined. The dress is a Nordstrom exclusive and comes in ivory, pink and black as shown. Other details include: back-zip; cotton/poly blend; and the need to hand wash in cold water and dry flat.

2. 'Regina' Floral Lace Skater Dress

'Regina' Floral Lace Skater Dress This super cute skater dress is available only in lilac with nude lining. The back features a wide cutout circle with a button and loop closure. Reviews on Nordstrom point to this dress as being a big hit when worn to a wedding, but I can see this for date night with a special someone. This one is dry clean only.

3. Lace Yoke Textured Skater Dress

Lace Yoke Textured Skater Dress With a beautiful cut out top, this little black dress is also available in Parisian Red. This skater dress has a back zipper and is a poly/spandex blend that needs dry cleaning. I think it looks like a million dollars as a LBD, but not so much in the pinkish-red.

4. Twist Front Maxi Dress

Twist Front Maxi Dress I love this with the shoes shown on the model! This is a really awesome maxi dress with a twisted knot at the waist. Hmmm, this is a rayon/spandex blend and I’d need to touch the material to be sure I’m a fan. I am so not a lover of rayon, but maybe the spandex mix saves it. I’m pretty sure I’ve seen this dress, or something very similar, on the red carpet. Because of the material, I don’t see this as being suitable for a fancy event.

5. Colorblock Body-Con Dress

Colorblock Body-Con Dress As cute as the front of this turquoise/black/ivory dress is, the reverse is even better; it's like strappy sandals for your back! There are three black panels attached to a zip closure. It gets even better; machine wash cold, line dry! Now you’ll look great coming and going.

6. 'Abigail' Racerfront Stretch Crepe Dress

'Abigail' Racerfront Stretch Crepe Dress They’re calling this bright blue, but it looks turquoise to me. How flattering is this adorable flirty dress with ruffled hem? It’s a poly/spandex blend and you know the fit will be insane. I’d style this with a strappier shoe in nude, to give the impression of never-ending legs, rather than the heavy looking black heels shown.

7. Jersey Sheath Dress

Jersey Sheath Dress The neckline is reminiscent of Demi Moore’s $5,000 black dress in “Indecent Proposal.” This is a great special occasion LBD. Not to be outdone by the beauty of the dress front, the back features a flattering and sexy wide diamond cutout. This one will steal the spotlight.

These cut out dresses are super cute and flattering. Having one or more of these in your closet means never having to say you have nothing to wear. I think this trend is a nice change from super low-cut dresses we have become accustomed to seeing everywhere. What do you think of cut out dresses? Do you own any? Would you buy any of these?

I love that twist front maxi dress - agree on the not so nice fabric, but looks i love how flowy it looks, and how comfy it would be :)
