One of the most popular forms of designer collaborations is when a well known designer teams up with a more affordable retailer. This collaboration still carries the same kind of vibe as Derek Lam’s high end line, but at a more affordable price point. The collection is full of relaxed, tailored clothing and prices range from $36 to $88.
2. DVF X Roxy
Hit the beach in style with pieces from the collaboration between Diane von Furstenberg and Roxy. This limited edition collection features a mix of itsy bitsy bikinis, sporty rash guards, and relaxed cover ups. All the pieces are priced under $100, which is definitely music to our ears.

6. Preen X Aldo
As part of their collaboration program, Aldo Rise, Aldo has teamed up with designer label Preen to create a capsule collection of fashion-forward shoes. The shoes from this collaboration are pretty pricey at around $150 a pop, but they’re still relatively affordable compared to how much you’d usually pay for Preen pieces.
7. Mary Katrantzou X Current/Elliott
Mary Katrantzou and Current/Elliott were already popular brands in their own right. So we were always guaranteed good things when these two decided to join forces. This collaboration features Mary Katrantzou’s trademark colourful prints displayed on Current/Elliott’s cool denim pieces. If you’re looking for affordable pieces, however, look elsewhere because many of the clothes in this collection will set you back a couple of hundred dollars.
8. Kenzo X Vans
Decorate your feet in style with this collaboration from Kenzo and Vans. This is actually the fourth collection between these two brands. The collaboration features classic Vans shoes decorated in a range of colourful Kenzo prints. You’ll still have to fork out $100+ dollars for a pair of these cool kicks though.
9. Milly X Banana Republic
Milly teams up with Banana Republic to offer us a range of affordable clothes inspired by the designer brand. Girls aren’t the only ones to benefit from this collaboration either, with guys being catered to as well. Women’s pieces will be priced from $45 to $175, while pieces from the men’s range will cost between $25 and $65. You’ll have to wait a bit longer to get your hands on this collection as it won’t be available until May.
