Kate Moss for Topshop

2014 will be the year that Kate Moss resumes her design collaboration with popular high street store Topshop. Her first collection with the store debuted in 2007, and several sell-out collections followed until 2010. If her past fashion collaborations are anything to go by, we can expect clothes inspired by the model’s own off-duty style. The eagerly anticipated Spring/Summer 2014 collection is due to be released in April 2014 and will be sold across 40 countries.

Peter Pilotto for Target

Target’s designer collaborations have always been hotly anticipated. Peter Pilotto is the next label to collaborate with the chain store, with a Spring 2014 collection to hit the shelves in February. Consisting of up to 70 pieces, the collection will feature plenty of Peter Pilotto’s signature digital prints. This collaboration is also hotly anticipated as it’s the first Target designer collaboration to be released internationally. It will be available from most Target stores across the U.S. and Canada as well as from the luxury e-commerce site Net-A-Porter.

Vivienne Westwood for ASOS

Famed designer Vivienne Westwood’s has teamed up with internet retailer ASOS to launch her Ethical Africa range. The range will consist of bags handmade in Nairobi, Kenya by communities affected by poverty. The collection, which will be available in February, consists of backpacks, totes, and shoppers featuring Westwood’s signature playful designs.

Valentino for Havaianas

Even flip flops aren’t immune from a designer collaboration. In a somewhat unexpected move, designer Valentino has teamed up with Brazilian footwear brand Havaianas. The flip flop designs range from simple one-colour designs to camouflage prints and luxe croc finishes. While most other designer collaborations are made with the intention of making items more affordable for consumers, these designer flip flops will cost you a small fortune.

Sophia Webster for J.Crew

Popular retailer J.Crew is collaborating with up-and-coming shoe designer Sophia Webster. The shoe collection, which includes 12 reworked styles from her main line, debuted at New York Fashion Week in 2013. The designs are consistent with Webster’s signature aesthetic and feature plenty of bright colours and bold prints. However, the collection won’t be available for purchase until Spring 2014.

Sarah Jessica Parker for Nordstrom

Sarah Jessica Parker’s style will forever be tied up with the character of Carrie Bradshaw (and her enormous shoe collection). however, that doesn’t lessen her impact as a style icon and creative fashion force. In what you could call a match made in heaven, SJP has teamed up with the CEO of Manolo Blahnik to design her very own line of shoes. The collection, available exclusively at Nordstrom, will launch on 28 February.

Katie Eary for River Island

Katie Eary might not be a name that you’re familiar with, but her upcoming collaboration with River Island is one to watch out for. The 18 piece collection will be available from February and will consist of a range of clothing and accessories in vibrant colours and prints.

These are just some fashion collaborations to keep an eye out for in 2014. Are you a fan of the designer fashion collaboration? If so, what fashion collaborations are you looking forward to this year?
