One way to channel the opulence trend is with your accessories and there are some wonderful ways to accessorize your look. 2. Kiss and Make up

Makeup is another sure fire way to channel this trend and what can be more glamorous that a touch of Dolce and Gabbana on your lips? The fashion house has in fact launched a number of shades called 'Sicilian Jewels Collection' for the more daring amongst you, with shades of bright purple, ruby red, amber gold and even an emerald green. But if you're a little too shy to go all out with one of these rich tones on your lips, you can blend these shades for a more muted but still glamorous look.

3. Baroque around the Clock

Baroque patterns and prints on garments will add that touch of opulence to your look. You can go all out with a floral jacquard dress or skirt or go for a subtler touch of glamour with organza.

4. Sensational Sequins

Sequins are another way to add some glitz and sparkle to your look and it's not just for the festive season. Shimmer in sequins this spring, whether it be on your dresses, skirts or tops. These beautiful light reflecting gems will certainly make you stand out in the crowd.

I'm a huge fan of jewelry and this trend really satisfies my desire to adorn myself in jewels and feel fabulous (even if they are fake!). Satisfy your inner glam queen with some statement jewelry in emerald greens and ruby reds. It's a great way to take your daytime jeans and T shirt from drab to fab in next to no time.

7. Lovely in Lace

I love lace and it's one of those trends that will never date. You can wear it in the evening for a super sultry and sexy look or you can show a little lace during the day by combining with clean lines and tailoring.
