I admit I’m no fashionista so I’m pretty slow at catching on to trends and new products. It was only when I saw an item on a morning TV magazine show that I heard of illusion dresses. Do you know what they are? At first all I could find was that viral optical illusion dress that broke the internet a wee while ago (v. frustrating!) but finally I got some info to help me sound like I know what I’m talking about. ^_^

Also known as an illusion panel dress, this clever garment is designed to give you the effect of an hour glass figure, or at least appear curvier than you are. The panels at the sides are a different color to the rest of the dress, creating the effect that against busy backgrounds, your own contours are camouflaged and your waist looks smaller. Some designs include panels other than at the sides.
