7 Things to Love about Fashion Today ...
By Jelena

Things to love about fashion as we know it – ever thought about those? I’ve been thinking about it for quite some time and, honestly, living and breathing fashion today isn’t half bad, even despite the mass production, and cheapo, disposable clothes! But don’t take my word for it, see for yourself! Here are some things to love about fashion today and some reasons to love fashion as it is now, rather than for what it used to be.

1. It’s “User-Friendly”

While there are plenty of blogs and websites screaming “designer goods” to the point where you think not having a Balenciaga bag means you shouldn’t leave the house unless it’s a life and death situation, there are also plenty of great places to look for ideas on how to dress up your curves or look super trendy on a tight budget! That’s one of the things to love about fashion today – the fact that it’s much easier to master than ever before!

2. Everyone Can Be a Model, Stylist and a Fashion Expert

Being a blogger myself, I must admit that it’s super rewarding to know that you can affect the lives of other people by simply sharing your talent and knowledge. Now imagine how fashion bloggers must feel knowing they have tons of readers loving their modeling, styling skills and knowledge of fashion trends! It’s totally amazing, global and oh so real, allowing people to do things they love and receive praise for their efforts.

3. It Fits All

Okay, I’m going to say it out loud - I absolutely hate vintage fashion! I love the designs and cuts and everything but oh my, finding an authentic piece that fits is like looking for a needle in a haystack! Did women really used to be so tiny back then? ALL of them? Well, anyway, I’m glad sizing today is not what it used to be and I’m super glad they make shoes and clothes in all sizes! Because, honestly, I don’t think I’d be able to fit into the vintage sizing chart and I’m sure that can be said for at least 80% of other women, as well!

4. Pants!

Yes, my ladies, there was a time when a woman wearing a pair of trousers used to cause more raised eyebrows than a bear in a skirt! Shocking, huh? Can you imagine your closet without those versatile jeans, comfy rompers, sexy cat suits, classy wide legs and foolproof business pantsuits? Ugh! Let’s not even dwell on that!

Discover the mystique and charm of historical garments with our carefully curated inspiration from the medieval era. If you're seeking authenticity for a theme party or costume event, here are some truly renaissance outfit ideas that will transport you back in time. Evoke the spirit of grand festivities with fashion that celebrates tradition and craftsmanship. Embrace a different period, dress up and have fun!

5. Rule Breakers

Remember those old rules that used to go something like, “No white after Labor day,” “The color of your shoes, belt, bag and gloves should match,” “Brown and black don’t mix,” and my personal favorite, “Never mix silver and gold”? Well, the good news is that they are completely outdated which means you aren’t obliged to stick to them! Why love fashion of today, then? Well, for all of those wonderful opportunities to mix and match, of course!

6. Eco Friendly Clothing

Well, this might not be the first thing to love about fashion in everyone’s book but sure makes a good pro even if you’re not too into eco friendly stuff. Don’t you agree? I mean, it feels good to know that companies are finally realizing the benefits of eco friendly production and are ready to provide good, fashionable clothing that isn’t only earth-friendly but also great-looking enough to draw new customers to the cause!

7. Mass Production

Modern fashion’s worst con happens to be a pro of some sort as well! And while those mass produced goods might not hold up as well as the clothes you’ve bought back in the day, they certainly are a great addition to your costlier key pieces. You buy them, rock them while they’re trendy, mix and match with all of those fine pieces that, despite their quality, will look boring if not freshened up from time to time then throw away and purchase something else. It’s fun, budget friendly (unless you go overboard, of course), commitment-free and, let’s face it, some of those pieces actually end up being way more durable then you’ve imagined!

Why to love fashion of today, ladies? What do you think? Is there anything you’d love to change about today’s fashion or do you love it just the way it is?
