1. Plain White T
This is one of those pieces you need in your wardrobe as it can take you from day to night with a change of jewelry. When searching for a plain t-shirt, make sure you purchase one that has an amazing fit. This will add that touch of togetherness and make the shirt look expensive. Try to buy one that will not wear fast and become thin.
2. Black Skinny Jeans
This is a must have for work, nights out and those casual dinner dates. The thin leg is key, as it will look great with a sneaker to a high black heel for night time. There are plenty of jeans that have a high waist and a low waist, but make sure you grab a pair that looks classy and is easily versatile.

3. A Statement Necklace
Who doesn’t love a big statement necklace? Whether it is a plain gold chain or a necklace with colorful jewels, pair this with a suit for a touch of fun or to a plain outfit for that pop. You can find a statement necklace almost anywhere and on the cheap!
4. A Great Fitting Blazer
I swear that this is the key piece to every wardrobe and is the easiest piece to keep with the change of seasons. The blazer will never go out of style and will always be handy to grab on the go. A plain black fitted blazer is the perfect investment and can be businesslike or the finishing touch over a sexy dress.
5. Statement Shoe
Ladies, go purchase that shoe that you love! Make sure the shoe is something that can carry you throughout the seasons and is easily worn with a lot of your wardrobe. A shoe is something I always say should be comfortable yet cute, and if that means spending a little more, then it's worth it. A navy or black pump is best and can be found easily without having to spend your whole paycheck. Just don’t cheap out on this purchase!
6. Great Lipstick
This is your year to shine! Step out of your comfort zone and amp up your makeup with some sultry red lips. If you don’t have time to do your makeup, a red lip can go a long way. The red color will make you look polished and put together just in time for that big interview!
7. The Underwear
So I know this isn’t something that everyone will see, but wearing great underwear and bras can change your confidence. This is a perfect time to go through and edit out those pieces that have been around for too long or need an updating. Go for something sexy that will bring you confidence and you won't mind showing off if need be!
What is that one piece that you just couldn’t live without? Starting this new year is a great time to go through and get rid of anything with bad memories or that has just lived too long in your closet.
