She has appeared in «Mode» magazine editorials and even launched a maternity line called BB Maternity. And her extensive modeling resume includes work for the likes of Eddie Bauer and Nordstrom. But what I love most about Brickner is her commitment to a healthy body image. You go, girl!

2. Crystal Renn

At just 26 years old, Crystal Renn has accomplished what most plus-size models dream of. She’s graced the cover of «Harper’s Bazaar», appeared in «Vogue», walked the runways for Jean-Paul Gaultier, and even penned a book. Though Renn has dropped some weight recently, she claims to have done it through hiking and yoga. Still, at a reported size 8, Renn is unafraid of being what the model industry considers an «in-between» size. And for someone who suffered with anorexia nervosa through her teen years, self-love is all the more sweet.

3. Whitney Thompson

Whitney Thompson, the now 24-year-old cycle 10 winner of «America’s Next Top Model», is a fearless plus-size model. She’s modeled for Saks Fifth Avenue, Forever 21, and Torrid. But more importantly, Thompson serves as an ambassador for the National Eating Disorders Association, a non-profit that aims to educate others about eating disorders and prevent them.

4. Toccara Jones

After a stint on cycle three of «America’s Next Top Model», the now 31-year-old Toccara Jones struck a pose for «Vogue Italia», «Vibe» magazine, Torrid, and Avon. She also went on tour with an all-black cast of Eve Ensler’s famed «Vagina Monologues». I can’t wait to check out Jones’ next grand appearance!

5. Candice Huffine

Candice Huffine, who earned a spot on the June 2011 issue of «Vogue Italia», is a celebrated 27-year-old plus size model. Recently, she starred in a Damon Baker-shot cover story for «S Moda» magazine called «Una Mujer Real.» Did I mention she showed off a good amount of skin and looked sexy yet oh-so-graceful and glam?

6. Kate Dillon

The stunning Kate Dillon has appeared in a handful of Vogue editions and has modeled for Gucci and Nine West. As a new mother and an activist, this New Yorker hopes to empower women to feel good about their bodies. I especially admire how Dillon speaks freely about her struggles with anorexia as a teen, serving as quite the role model to young women everywhere.

7. Amy Lemons

At the young age of 14, the now 30-year-old Amy Lemons appeared on the cover of «Vogue Italia». She went on to work cover shoots for «Vogue», «Marie Claire», «Harper’s Bazaar», and many more. She’s even modeled for Louis Vuitton (jealous!). When the straight-size Lemons went plus-size, she continued to rock the runways. Now, the celebrated model is on the advisory board for The Model Alliance, a non-profit that aims to improve working conditions for models.
