They have scholarships for girls who make their prom dresses out of duct tape. Using duct tape isn't a bad idea if you or your daughter truly want to stand out.

Why do people wear duct tape dresses?! Isn't prom supposed to memorable for the good things, not the embarrassing? I love the rest of the dresses though!

There's actually a scholarship given for best duct tape dress lol

Duct Tape seems Tacky for Prom. It Could Be Good For Homecoming Tho!

Wow that duct tape dress looks so gorgeous! I have a friend who absolutely adores duct tape, I bet she hasn't thought to do this with duct tape yet.

The duct tape isn't necessarily for a fashion statement (though many young women can dish out some creative style for it), but there in fact is a scholarship for high school students that rewards funds for having the most creative duct tape ONLY outfits. Couples can do it too. It's been around for years.

Purpose is to attract gents

I've heard that the company offers a scholarship for the best duct tape clad couple
