If you’re still in school like I am, I think you’ll agree with me that finals week is always the most stressful week of the year. When it’s finals week, fashion is probably the last thing on your mind. However, you still want to be fashionable and put-together, even when you don’t have the time to think about it. If you’re looking for tips for staying stylish even when you’re stressing out during finals week, these tips are sure to help you stay sane and stylish!
1. Get Cute Clothes That Are Comfortable
You don’t need to sacrifice style to be comfortable during finals week. Instead, find those perfect pieces that are just as comfortable as they are stylish, like patterned pants or an oversized sweater.
2. Plan Your Outfits in Advance
Finals week is stressful enough without the added stress of planning out your outfits. Not only will it add stress, but it also takes up valuable time that you could spend studying. If you plan your outfits for the week during the rare moment that you don’t have a lot of studying to do, you’re instantly saving yourself time later in the week when you’re stressing out about finals.
3. Keep It Simple
You don’t need to wear elaborate outfits during finals week when fashion is probably the last thing on your mind. Instead of worrying about putting layered and elaborate outfits together, pick something simple that’s still just as cute!
4. Add Some Small Jewelry
Don’t wear jewelry that you’ve sometimes to found be annoying in the past. It will annoy you even more when you’re trying to take an exam that you’ve been stressed about all week. Wear jewelry for a little extra something to your outfit, but be sure that it doesn’t annoy you before you go in to take your exam!
5. Stay Away from Pajamas
As tempting as it can be to go to class in whatever you wore to sleep the night before, especially when you have an early morning exam, fight that urge. Don’t go to class in your pajamas, especially if you sleep in a crazy pair of pajama pants. When you’re really tired, it can be easy to convince yourself to just wear your pajamas, but don’t let yourself!
6. Think about What You’re Wearing
No, I don’t just mean that you should plan your outfit in advance. I mean that, like jewelry, clothes can get annoying when you’re trying to concentrate on an exam. Think about what you’re wearing in advance. If you worry that a pair of jeans may be too tight or a shirt you want to wear rides up and is always bothering you, you may want to rethink your outfit!
7. Consider Wearing Your Gym Clothes
I think that there’s a huge difference between pajamas and gym clothes. While they’re both comfortable, pajamas put you in the mood to sleep and gym clothes put you in the mood to work out. Gym clothes can be motivating while pajamas have the opposite effect. Gym clothes are a great way to help get you into the mode to conquer your toughest exams!
